John Robert Makos, 81 of Millington, Tn., died Friday 12, 2010 in Memphis TN. John had retired from the United States Marine Corps after 31 years of service and was also a retired illustrator. He is survived by his wife, Raquel Makos; son, John Makos; Jr. daughters Nadine, Diane and Pilar M. Makos; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ida Makos, son, Joseph Makos, daughter, Katherine Makos; and brother, Peter Makos. A Friends and Family Gathering with Military Honors and Recitation of the The Holy Rosary will be held on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 6 pm in the Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Chapel in Millington, TN. A Burial Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 11 am at St. Arlington National Cemetery. Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
