John David Arthur, 66, of Drummonds, TN passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018.  Mr. Arthur was retired from the U. S. Navy, serving in the Vietnam, Iran and Iraq Wars, and was a member of the VFW in Millington.  He was also a retired Federal Policeman with the VA Hospital in Memphis.  John was preceded in death by his parents, Omer (Rita Emnett) Arthur and guardian, Sylvan A. Emnett.  He leaves his wife of 17 years, Janet Arthur; two children, Jeff (Amy) Arthur of Bartlett and Christina (Steven) Lindley of Burlison, TN; two step-children, Shannon Hyden, and Megan Bowen, both of Munford, TN; two brothers, Thomas (Cindy) Arthur, and James (Donna) Arthur; two sisters, Ruth (Preston) Brown, and Jeanne (Mike) Southworth; also nine grandchildren.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, with his funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home.
