Joe B.
Walker
April 10, 1941 – March 26, 2026
Joe B. Walker, 84, traded his earthly body for his new and improved heavenly body on March 26, 2026.
Joe was born on April 10, 1941, in Bruceton, Tennessee. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years. Following his military service, he began a long and dedicated career with CSX Railroad, where he worked for 32 years before retiring in 2002.
During his time with the railroad, Joe met the love of his life, Lila. After five years of courtship, they were united in marriage on March 22, 1995, and recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary—a testament to their deep and enduring love.
Joe was an exceptional sketch artist, known for his talent and creativity. He also deeply cherished his church family at Community Baptist Church – Rosemark, where he found great joy, fellowship, and faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ines; his father, Goldie; and his brother, Johnnie.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Lila Walker; his stepchildren, Erika Baldwin (Matt Baldwin) and Rudy Forster; and his cherished grandchildren, Scott Fisher, Jr., Abbey Baldwin, Lila Baldwin, Andrew Forster, and Adam Wallace. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion that will be remembered by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, Joe’s wish was for donations to be made to Community Baptist Church.
