Joe V. Shanks, 77, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011. He was a former employee of Master Foods USA (known as Mars & Mars Candy Company) in Chicago, IL, and in most recent years retired from Elvis Presley Enterprises in Memphis, TN. Mr. Shanks is survived by three children: Theresa Hagewood of Memphis, Daryl Shanks of Hernando, MS and Steve Shanks of Olive Branch, MS; as well as five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other loving family and friends. Visitation will be held at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 23, at 10 a.m. followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m. The family requests that flowers be sent to the funeral home or, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
