Joe "Buddy" Byard, 79, passed away at his home in Hernando, Mississippi, Thursday, April 14, 2016. Visitation will be Monday, April 18, 2016 at New Discovery Christian Church from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Hernando Memorial Park.
Buddy enjoyed spending time on the Coldwater River and at Hernando Point in his boat fishing with his friends. He also enjoyed shuffle board, hunting, frog gigging, drinking beer with his buddy''s at Hoovers, and playing darts. He was a very proud father, and husband. He also had two miniature dachshunds'' babies, Heidi and Bitty that he loved very much.
Survivors include his wife Betty Ann Thompson Byard, daughter Ashley Lynn Thompson, son Joseph Matthew Byard, brothers; Kenneth (Judy), Jerry (Peggy), and Charlie Byard, and many nieces and nephews.
