Joann A. McCommon, 74, of Memphis, TN passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017. Ms. McCommon was preceded in death by her son, Gary McCommon. She is survived by her daughters: Rita Simmons (Michael) and Lynn McCommon; sisters: Nona Yount and Virgie Glass; brothers: Larry Box and Jimmy Box; three dogs: Sadie, Molly, and Mitzie; and her bird: Barney. Ms. McCommon retired from Levi Strauss after over thirty years. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her pets. A visitation will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 1-2:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. All services and interment will be held at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery in Millington.
