September 1, 1926 – January 1, 2021
Jimmie E. Davis went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2021. He was married to Shirley Rice Davis for thirty-five years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. W.B. Davis, Sr., & Doris Davis, the mother of his children. He was honorably discharged from the Navy and retired as a Transportation Dispatcher with Civil Service at the Naval Air Station, MillIngton, TN. He sang for eighteen years with the Journeyman Quartet, singing for the Memphis area churches & the surrounding cities. Jim & Shirley were members of First Baptist Church, Atoka,TN. He shared his love for the Lord singing in the Choir, solos & singing with Shirley for his church & other area churches.
Jim is survived by his son, Donald (Ann)Davis, & daughter, Elaine(Allen)Weaver, his step children, Kimberly (Derek) Rose, Karen Eppley (Deceased), grandchildren, Nathan (Lauren) Weaver & Natalie Weaver, Chris Autry, Jason(Shannon) Autry, and two great grandchildren, Jackson McRee Dennis & Kallie (Aaron) Eubanks. He is preceded in death by five siblings, Martha Jane Stowe, Tom, Bill, Ed & Ned Davis.
Graveside Service will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery on January 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
