Jerry Lee Dye, Sr., of Millington, TN went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2019.  Mr. Dye was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Estes Dye and Mattie Lavern Dye; sister, Imogene Peacock; and brother, Henry Estes Dye.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Dye; son, Jerry Lee Dye, Jr. (Sheri); daughter, Vanessa Kate Barger (Bruce); 11 grandchildren: Stephen Dye, Victoria Kate Campbell (Tyrell), Rachel Dye, Valaina Kate Barger, Timothy Dye, Luke Barger, Hannah Dye, Valarie Barger, Rebekah Dye, Jonathan Dye, and Matthew Barger; and 1 great-grandson, Bentley Bruce Campbell.  Mr. Dye was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was a generous and giving provider for not only his family but others in need.  He served our nation in the United States Army.  He was an over-the-road truck driver for over 40 years.  He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Millington.  He was also a member of the Rotary Club and on the school board for the Shriner's school in Memphis.  Mr. Dye's family will receive friends for a period of visitation on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Nothridge Woodhaven Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Millington on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
