Myrtle Jean McCommon, 87, of Millington, TN went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 14, 2019. Mrs. McCommon was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil McCommon; mother, Carrie Coke; brother, Bill Brister; sister, Helen Charles; brother, Clifton Coke; and son, Kenneth McCommon. She is survived by her son, David McCommon (Darlene); daughter, Kristina Sellers (Brian); grandchildren, Crystal Young, and Elias Shapter; and great-grandchildren: Samuel Spencer, Samantha Bragg, and Lily Shapter. Mrs. McCommon retired from Small World Daycare after 20+ years as the Director. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling. During her life, she visited all 50 states. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation Wednesday, September 18, 2019, from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will be on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at 2:00 pm. All services and interment will be held at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery.
