Jane E. Pelke, 63, of Millington, TN went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Ms. Pelke is survived by her sons: Eric Pelke and Mark Pelke (Sarah); grandson, Matthew Pelke; sister, Patti Bray Horton; sister, Evit Willett; brother, James Powell, Jr.; and sister, Kathleen King. She received her master''s degree in physical education and English Lit from The University of Memphis. After college she taught physical education for over thirty years in the Shelby County School System where she touched the lives of all her students. She loved to watch sports and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. Ms. Pelke was a parishioner at St. William Catholic Church in Millington. Visitation will be Monday, May 15, 2017 from 5-7 pm at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday morning at St. William Catholic Church in Millington. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
