Obituary

In Loving Memory
James Michael Solomon was born on July 20, 1965, in Memphis, Tennessee to Laura and the late Hillman Solomon. He passed away on April 30, 2021, in Cape Canaveral, Florida from natural causes. James was a graduate of the University of Memphis. Since graduation, he was an engineer for various companies working within NASA Space Program. He later graduated from Baylor University George W Truett Theological Seminary.
James' musical talents led to a scholarship playing in The Mighty Sound of the South Marching Band at Memphis. He enjoyed singing and playing hymns. He loved attending Memphis Tiger basketball and football teams with his nephews. James' calling to God led to a pause in working for the Space Program to attend seminary. He became an ordained minister and led First Indian Baptist church in Houston, Texas. In recent years, his engineering career relocated him to Florida where he loved the weather and playing golf.
James is survived by his mother Laura and brother Joshua and four sisters, Myra Frazier, Darnell Gibson (Charlie Gibson),  Patricia Craig and Brenda Solomon. Other surviving loved ones include six nephews, two nieces, three aunts and one uncle. He is preceded in meeting God by father Hillman Solomon Sr, brother Hillman Solomon Jr and sister Heather Solomon.
