IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Edward
Simmons
March 31, 1928 – September 16, 2022
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Jim "J.E." Simmons, whose love for Jesus Christ grew and spread outwardly toward everyone he met.
He was a retired World War II Navy Veteran. His life truly began in October of 1960 when he asked Jesus Christ into his heart.
J.E. was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters, two sons, and his wife Doris Simmons. He leaves behind his sister, Nellie Anthony (Paul); four children, Robert Simmons, Donna Simmons Phillips, Douglas Simmons (Debra), and Nancy Simmons Nyleen; also one daughter in-law, Melodee Simmons; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Although our hearts are heavy, we are filled with joy in the knowledge and truth that he is now in Heaven with God our Father and Christ Jesus our Savior who covered our sins and imperfections with His sacrificed blood. Being a joint-heir with Jesus Christ, J.E. has no more pain, or sorrows, no more sadness and a new perfect body.
Praise The Name Of Jesus!!
The family request that in lieu of flowers please send any memorials to Faith Assembly of God in Millington, TN
