IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Harold
Shaver Jr.
August 19, 1954 – December 24, 2025
James Harold Shaver Jr., 71, of Millington, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on August 19, 1954, in Hinesville, Georgia, Jim was the son of the late James H. Shaver Sr. and Wanda Shaver.
A devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Jim will be remembered for his strong work ethic, giving heart, and spirited humor. He found joy in making others laugh, often teasing and joking with those around him. Jim was a man whose hands were as strong as his faith—he owned and operated his own business, Shaver Steel Rule Die, where he took pride in every detail of his craft.
Outside of work, Jim found peace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing and being on the water, attending dirt track races, watching tennis, and working in his shop. Branson was one of his favorite travel destinations, and he cherished every trip he took there. Whether gathered around the dinner table or catching up at the corner store, Jim loved sharing time and conversation with family and friends.
Jim was deeply involved in his church, Oaklawn Baptist, where he served faithfully as a deacon, taught Kids Club and Bible Study classes, and even drove the church bus. His dedication to his faith and community touched countless lives.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Shaver; his son, Garon Shaver; his sister, Sheila Chunn; and his parents.
Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, James H. Shaver III; sisters Sharon Masner (Dennis) and Jana Shaver; grandchildren, Morgan Shaver, James H. Shaver IV (Adrianna), Meagan Schoggen (Blake), and McKinley Shaver; great grandchildren, Brantley Schoggen, James H. Shaver V, and Raelynn Schoggen and many extended family members, friends, and clients who will miss him dearly.
