James Alvin Moore, Sr., 76 of Millington, passed away August 18, 2022.

He is survived by his son, James Moore, Jr; his daughter, Retha Caroline Moore; two grandchildren, Noah Donovan Whitten and Cheyenne Fay Jones; his significant other, Debbie Kinsey; and extended family, Sabrina Coleman (Chris) and Pamela Chism.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Retha Fay Moore; his parents, William and Edna Moore; and three brothers, William Moore, Ray Moore, and Wayne Moore.

James served in the United States Navy and obtained a Bachelor's Degree from State Tech in Architecture. His hobby was constant education, always wanting to learn as much as possible. He was certified in HVAC, welding, auctioneering, and small engine repair; he was a jack of all trades. He was also a member of the bee keeper association. James was known as "Poppy" to many loved ones left behind.
