James Michael Presgrove, affectionately known as Mikie, tragically passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 31. Born on January 20, 1993, in Memphis, TN, Mikie was the beloved son of Jamie Toombs (Russell Toombs) and Michael Presgrove (Tracy Presgrove). From a young age, Mikie exhibited a passion and talent for anything auto related, leading him to a career as a skilled mechanic and later a diesel tech. His love for his work and cars was evident to all who knew him.

Mikie's life was characterized by his warm heart, generosity, and deep love for his family. He was a friend to everyone and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His kindness extended beyond humans to all creatures. Mikie had a unique gift for saving and raising animals, including squirrels, raccoons, and even a fox. His love for animals was most evident in his relationship with his loyal dog, Roxy, who brought him immense joy over the years.

He had a wide range of hobbies and interests, including wood carving, collecting knives and swords, cars, tinkering with anything he could, and Marvel super-heroes.

Mikie is survived by his precious son, Jacob Michael Presgrove, whom he loved more than anything; and his long-time partner, Jessica Jennings, who stood by his side through thick and thin. His grandmother Shirley Dull (Tom Dull); grandfather William "Jack" Presgrove, held a special place in his heart, as did his sisters, Stacie Presgrove, Jessica Dunaway (Kris Dunaway), and Britanie Presgrove. Mikie leaves behind six beloved nieces and nephews: Rhylin, Caden, Jaxon, Kinsley, Adalynn, and Wesson, who will always remember their uncle who loved to wrestle and horseplay with them. Mikie also leaves many aunts, uncles, and cousins who all loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Beverly Rodriguez, his grandfather James Taylor, and his great-grandparents Inez and Jesus Rodriguez. Their memories and love undoubtedly shaped Mikie into the wonderful person he was.

James Michael Presgrove's legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.

Private family services were recently held at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6755 HWY 51 N. Millington, TN 38053.
