James Kenneth "JK" Hindmon, 65, of Memphis, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 2, 2017. He was born on December 7, 1951 in Memphis, TN to James Verlon and Ruby Jewel (Dixon) Hindmon, who both preceded him in death. He graduated Trezevant High School in 1969. He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering and Master's degree in Planning from Memphis State University, retiring from the MSU Physical Plant after a long career. JK is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Cole (Brad) of Brentwood, TN, Jamie Stanley (Michael) of Spring Hill, TN, and his five grandchildren, Madison, Miller, and Mason Cole, Kaylee and Joshua Stanley, his trusted friend, Mary Jo Olmstead of Memphis, TN, and the mother of his daughters, Janet Hindmon of Franklin, TN. His daughters will receive family and friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington, TN for viewing on Wednesday 12/6/17 at 1:00 PM, with funeral service following 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, his daughters request that donations be made to the MS Society.
