James Ellis Crook, 86, passed away in Memphis, TN on July 27, 2019.  Mr. Crook served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Mil lington. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Lena Bell Crook, and sister Opal Pender. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 and a half years, Sybil Bruce Crook, his daughter Elise Dumser (Tom) of Lewisburg, TN and son, Mike Crook (Suzy) of Murray KY; sisters, Edna Earl Nix, Frances May, Ruth Puddephatt, Patsy Craft, Judy Majovski, brothers, Garland Crook and Ronnie Crook, and several nieces and nephews.  Mr. Crook was blessed with  four grandchildren; Lauren Whittle, Chelsea Dunn, Evan Dumser and Nathan Dumser, and three great grand children, Tristan Whittle, Colin Whittle and Skylar Dunn. Visitation with his family will be on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 9:30~11:00 am with his funeral service at 11:00 am at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington, TN. 901-872-3375
