James Claud Clayton, Jr., 87, died January 20, 2014 at St Francis Bartlett Hospital. Mr. Clayton was a tvengineer at WMC TV. A member and deacon at Ellendale Baptist Church, Mr. Clayton was also a former member of National Avenue Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Claudean Weatherford Clayton; daughters, Lynn Clayton Langston (Ken); Mary Clayton Baird (Woodrow); and Marsha Clayton Beshears (John); grandchildren, Sherrie Goodwin (Patrick), Jennifer Hamilton (Drew), Zachary Beshears and Kayla Beshears; and 4 great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Madelyn Cloud Williams, and Lenora Ponder; brothers, Talmadge Clayton and Lester Carnet Clayton; and son, James Dwight Clayton. The family will receive friends at Ellendale Baptist Church 3861 Broadway Rd. Bartlett, Tennessee on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Funeral Services begin at the church at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens in Bartlett. The family requests memorials be sent to Ellendale Baptist Church.
