James H. Brasfield, 74, died Monday June 20, 2011 in Memphis, TN. Mr. Brasfield served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1963 when he was honorably discharged. He retired from the Commercial Appeal Newspaper after more than 20 years of employment.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Lois (Joyce) Brasfield, Daughters: Tony Marleen Holder, Chontara D. McIntosh, Brothers: Willie Glen Brasfield, Morris Wayne Brasfield, Nixon Earl Brasfield, Sisters: Elizabeth Louise Simmons, Diane Roberson and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Russell and Carrie Brasfield and Brother: Dallas Russell Brasfield Jr.
