JAMES M. BARNES, 70, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 in Memphis, TN. James was a retired U.S. Army Green Beret, who was highly decorated. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Barnes; son, Les Dye of Japan; daughters, Tammy Slough of Arizona, Christy Smithers of Memphis; sisters, Bonnie Fitch of Florida, Penny Davis of Texas and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Eleanor Barnes, brother, Peter Thomas Barnes. A Celebration of Life Service with full military honors will be held on Monday, April 12, at 10 a.m. at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington, TN. Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
