Jack Roland Smith, 66, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at his Millington residence. Jack was a Vietnam Army Veteran. During his military career he earned a National Defense Service Medal; and an Expert Rifleman. He participated in the Leadership Prep Course and the Redeye Gunner Coarse. Jack was a Law Enforcement Officer for the Galloway Police Department Reserves, a part time instructor at Top Brass, and a Security Guard at Harrah's Corporate Office. Most of his career he was a Computer Technician. He was a wonderful husband and uncle. He loved nature. He participated in tagging Grizzly Bears during their hibernation with a team from the Field and Game Commission. His survivors include his wife, Sheryl Ann Ludeke-Smith of Millington, sister-in-law, Joan Apgar; nieces, Angela Lynn Kulp of Williamsport, PA; Emily Ann Apgar of Chesapeake, VA; Tracy Brooks of Georgetown, OH; Kim Blanton of Georgetown, OH; nephews, Jonas Michael (Missy) Shollenbarger of Bangor, ME; James Blanton (Teresa) Shollenbarger of Chesapeake, VA; Adam William Apgar of Virginia Beach, VA; and 10 great nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
