Jack R. Morris was born on January 19, 1928 in Golconda, IL, and passed away on December 7, 2018 in his home in Burlison TN.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Lill Morris; his daughter, Inge Thomalla; stepson, Bobby Lightsey; and brother, Joe Morris.   Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Ethel "Sue" Morris; stepdaughter, Renee (Malcolm) Coulston; stepson, Robert (Karen) Lightsey; grandchildren, Daniela and Sascha Thomalla; step-grandchildren, Jeremy and Jonathan Lightsey, Leslie Scott, Bradley Coulston, Christen Carter, and Jaime Carlson; as well as many family members, including great grandchildren, and friends who all loved him dearly.

He was a dedicated serviceman who retired from the US Navy.  He later retired from The Commercial Appeal, and Allright Parking.He loved traveling, bowling, and was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Covington TN, where he served faithfully.The family will receive guests from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 11, 2018, with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Northridge Woodhaven Memorial Funeral Home; 6775 Highway 52 North; Millington, TN  38053.The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, which he loved to support.
