Olga Irene Brewer joined her beloved her parents, Oscar Stephen Brewer and Edna Mai Kirby Brewer, older brother Ronald Stephen Brewer, and nephew Robby Tribble in heaven on October 18, 2024, after a brief, acute illness. Irene was the second of four children born to the Brewer's and is survived by Jane Brewer Tribble (Bobby) and Richard Rush Brewer (Tammy), six nieces and nephews, eight great-nieces and nephews, a beloved cousin, and a dear friend with whom she created many beautiful ceramic pieces which she proudly shared with family and friends.

Irene graduated Frayser High School in 1958 and although she received multiple college offers, she chose to enter the workforce directly after graduation in lieu of seeking a degree. Irene's professional career began with Consumer Credit, then to Sears Human Resources department where she retired after many years, and finally, Irene landed at Stern Cardiovascular where she headed up their Human Resources department for 30 years, retiring at the age of 80 years old. It was during her employment at Stern that Irene found her second family as they played a very important part of her daily life, on both a professional and personal level. Irene also found family and community with her Sunday School class at Bellevue Baptist Church as these ladies constantly supported, visited and prayed for her.

Thankfully, our beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend is now pain free and rejoicing with the angels.

Services are Friday, October 25th, at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and cemetery. Visitation is 1:00-2:00 with services to follow with burial to follow at the adjoining cemetery.
