Howard L. Quisenberry, 88, of Millington, TN went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 1, 2020.
Howard leaves his wife, Mary of 57 years and always said she was the love of his life. He also leaves his son, Scott; daughter, Lisa; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Quisenberry was born in Muhlenberg, KY. He grew up on the family farm with his two sisters and a brother. After graduating from high school he joined the Air Force and served his country four years. He received his B.S. degree in math and physics and began his teaching career. Howard accepted a job with the Navy in 1963. He worked in the education and training division in the Bureau of Naval Personnel in Washington, DC for years then in 1972 he was transfered to the Chief of Naval Techical Training Staff at Millington, where he worked as a training program manager. During his career, he was awarded the Meritorious Civilian Service Award, the second highest award provided to civilian employees within the agencies of the federal government of the United States . He retired in 1994.
Howard was a very active member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Millington for more than 40 years. He served on the Church Vestry, Men's Club and the Congregational Development Commitee for the Episcopal Diocese of West Tennessee.
A memorial service will be at St. Anne's Episcopal Church at a later date.
