Herbert L. McELRAVEY, 84, died at home October 9, 2008. He was surrounded by his family whom he greatly loved. He was a WWII Veteran, a Tech SGT in the USAF. As a Flight Engineer on a B-24 Liberator, he flew 50 missions, 5 of which were over Ploesti. He was retired from Intl Harvester where he was a Master Machinist. He was a Den Master for Troop 45 and a member of the Shelby Forest Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Dorothy Coleman McElravey, 3 sons: H.A. (Mac) and Pat McElravey of Oakland, TN. Phillip and Sandra McElravey of Walls, MS and David and Tina McElravey of Millington, TN. Also he is survived by his brother Allen (Pete)R. McElravey and his family of Coos Bay, Oregon. He loved water skiing, working in his shop, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was well loved. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 14 at 12:30pm with services and burial to follow at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and burial at 2:00pm at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery in Millington, TN.
