Helen was born to Harry Edward Gipson, Sr. and Zelma Vivian Gipson on May 18, 1926, the third of seven children. Her parents have preceded her in death, along with three brothers. Harry Edward Gipson Jr., Robert Gipson, and Earl Gipson and on sister Hazel Vivian Prather. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Kirby Burgess and son-in-law David Burgess, her sister, Melba Rogers of Horn Lake, MS., her brother, Joseph Gipson of Oxford, Ms. A Multitude of neices and nephews and great neices and nephews. She was blessed to have double first cousins. This occurred when her Mother, Zelma and her sister, Francis married brothers. Helen went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2010 at 2:55 am. after losing a long courageous battle with cancer and complications. She will be missed by many. She touched many lives even during her illness. Her mortal life is now over and her wonderful life with God has just begun. Services are at 2:00 p.m. on February 25, 2010 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery.
