Lt. Harry Owens, 77, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at his Millington home. Lt. Owens retired with the Bartlett Police Department after 16 years. He was also a United States Marine Veteran who retired after 20 years as a Gunny Sergeant. Mr. Owens also retired from the University of Tennessee State Police. Surviving is his wife, Peggy Owen. On November 25, 2012 they celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary. Also surviving are his children, Terry Owens (JoAnn) of Millington, Cecelia Cash of Memphis; Jack Owens (Diane) of Atoka, and step daughter, Tania Childers (Britt) of Hernando, MS; Nine grandchildren; and Six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013. The funeral will begin at 3:00. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
