Harold Eugene Kassaw, age 72, of Memphis, Tennessee was a beloved husband, father, and friend who passed away on the afternoon of November 7, 2022.

Harold was born in Cullman, Alabama on February 7, 1950, to Alvin Kassaw and Gladys Williams. He graduated from Gardendale Highschool in 1968 where he played football and baseball. Harold went on to serve in the Army then in the Air National Guard of Alabama as a photo-sensor maintenance technician on aircrafts. He proudly served his country for a total of 17 years.

In 1990, Harold met Gilda in Atlanta, Georgia through friends who set them up on a blind date. Harold and Gilda went on to have two children, Kimberly and Krista Kassaw. Harold loved traveling with his family, keeping his hands busy with home renovations, electrical work, and several other projects for the church and friends. He enjoyed watching his Sci-Fi and Western movies with his fur babies, Coco and Chip, and endlessly laughing at his own dad jokes. He would never turn down an offer for a sweet treat (especially chocolate).

In 2014, Harold retired as a communications technician for the City of Memphis Police Department.

He leaves behind his wife Gilda Bayos Kassaw; his daughters Kimberly Kassaw, Krista Kassaw, and Brantley Kassaw, and his sister Marie Bean. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his daughter Kerene Kassaw, sister Charlotte Miller, and his brothers Arthur and
Glen Kassaw.

Funeral service will be held at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home & Cemetery (6755 U.S. 51 Millington, TN) on November 15, 2022. Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm followed by a service at 2:00 pm.
