Gladys Holland, age 88, passed away Friday, December 13th. She was born on July 22, 1931 in Zwolle, LA. She was a valued employee of Coletta's Restaurant for over 60 years until illness forced her to retire at age 86. Throughout her life, Gladys opened her heart and door to family and friends and enriched many lives. Gladys was preceded in death by husbands Joe R. Holland and Bill Davis, son Jimmy Dean Davis, daughters Jeannie Davis and Betty Holland, brother Euell Martinez, granddaughter, Jessica Holland, and great-nephew, Zachery Smith. She is survived by daughters Donna Smith (Terry) of Oakland, TN and Barbara Jones (Tommy) of Byhalia, MS; sons Jeffrey Holland and Kenny Davis of Hickory Withe, TN and Randy Holland (Barbara) of Somerville, TN; sisters Betty Gentry (Sarge), Charlene Leone, Anne Rivers (Freddie) and brother Maurice Martinez, all of Zwolle, LA. She was further blessed with 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East, 2440 Whitten Road in Memphis on Friday, December 20 at 9 am followed by the funeral service at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
