George Franklin Christian, 80, died Saturday, October 12, 2013. Mr. Christian was a member of the VFW, the Mason's, and Shriner's. He was a kind man who loved helping others. Was known to help the widows in his neighborhood with yard work. Survivors include his wife, Betty Christian of Memphis; brothers, Harold Christian of Bartlett; Larry Christian of Olive Branch; JT Christian of Sharon, TN; sisters, Martha Henson of Elaine, AR; Sarah Hughes of Collierville; and a sister-in-law, Bernice Ennis of Millington. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife whom he lovingly called "Squirt", Geneva Christian, and his daughter, Diana Lynn McLaughlin. The family will receive friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
