Frederick Joseph Warner, 68, of Millington died Wednesday, December 4, 2012 at Methodist University Hospital. Mr. Warner was a retired Master Sergeant after 23 years serving the United States Marine Corps. He served 3 tours in Vietnam and was honored with the RVN Cross of Gallantry and the Vietnam Service Medal. He also retired from Pinnacle Airlines (DBA: Northwest Airlink) after 24 years as a Mechanic and Director of Quality Assurance. His hobbies included working engines, either aircraft or vehicle. He also won First Place awards over multiple years for his Datsun 240 Z which he rebuilt and showed in car shows. Mr. Warner is survived by his wife, Hiroko Warner of Millington; son, William Warner of Little Rock; daughter, Lisa Vogt (Terry) of Millington; son, Kenneth Warner (Raquel) of Pensacola; sisters, Jeanine Hood of Germantown; and Merelu Dillon of Ringgold, GA; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild. The family will receive friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Sunday, December 9, from 4-6 p.m. Funeral services will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Monday, December 10 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery with Military Honors. The family requests that memorials be directed to Disabled American Veterans.
