FREDERICK "FRED" MONTGOMERY, 61, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 in Memphis, Tennessee after a long illness. He attended the University of Memphis and was a member of the Lamda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He was a United States Army Veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War. Fred worked for UPS Parcel Service and he was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Joan Montgomery, his parents, Fred and LaForie Montgomery, two brothers, Steve and Andrew (Andy) Montgomery. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm. Monday, May 24 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington, TN. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 11 am. on Tuesday, May 25 at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
