Frank Austein, 79, died on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Memphis. Mr. Austein was a 1952 graduate of Humes High School, and retired from Kimberly Clark after 33 ½ years. He was President of the Maintenance Local Union 704 for 26 years, member of the Plumbers Local Union 17, for 60 years, Member of the Good Sam''s RV Club, Member of the Kimberly Clark Cooking Team "Hawg Rock"; and member of the Tex-A-Doodle BBQ Team. He also held membership at the Old 7th Street Baptist Church in Memphis. His hobbies included his family and hunting. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Georgia Austein; children; Frankie (Kerry) Austein; and Roy (April) Austein; daughter-in-law, Bege Austein; 10 grandchildren, Mandy, Misty, Heather, Cory, Nick, Eric, Christin, Jjake, Carson, and Luke; 11 great grandchildren; his brothers, Tommy Austein; and John Austein; and a host of nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Austein; parents, Roy and Lillian Austein; sister, Midge Smith; and brothers, Herbie, Raymond, Woodrow, Eddie, E.M., Charles, and Walter. The family will receive friends at New Hope Church at the corner of Yale Avenue and Kirby Whitten Road in Bartlett on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Funeral Services begin at the church Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Memphis Memory Gardens. The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital or New Hope Christian Church.
