Frances White McEwen, 84, of Memphis went to be with her Heavenly Father on November 24, 2011 at her home with family by her side. She was born in Prairie Mississippi on September 6, 1927, came to Memphis in 1946. Preceded in death by her husband Charles Ralph McEwen of 36 years. She was a devout Mother and homemaker for her family. She was a member of Forest View Church of Christ and former member of East Frayser Church of Christ helping others in the community. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley McEwen Tanner of Memphis, son, David McEwen, daughter-in-law, Sharon, and only granddaughter, Danielle of Huntsville AL. Her sister, Betty-June Crosswhite of Tupelo MS, Robert White of Prairie MS, Ed White, and Kyle White both from Aberdeen MS. also survives her. Visitation will be Saturday, November 26 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with services beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington, TN. Interment will follow at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
