Mrs. Flora Owen born March 6, 1926, went to be with the Lord and her late husband Jesse (JD) February 16, 2017. After many years of giving of herself and loving her family, Flo was given one last challenge - a six year goodbye - as only Alzheimer''s can do. Flo and JD were proud life-long residents of Memphis (Frayser to be exact), raising their six children there. Flo was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Douglas Owen, son Ronald (Ronnie), grandson Joshua Owen, granddaughter Angela Campbell, her parents and eight siblings. Flo or Granny as so many called her, leaves five children , Jesse Owen of Columbus GA, Donna & Dennis Campbell of Houston MO, Marsha Johnson of Millington TN, Denise Jones of Jackson TN, Bernis & Beth Owen of Bartlett TN and daughter in-law Rita Owen (Ronnie). Granny also leaves behind ten grandchildren Ryan Murphy, Jonathan Hicks, Nathan Owen, Jason Owen, Angela Schol-Young, Gary Schol, Rusty Kesler, Rachel Barr, Matthew Owen and Jessica Owen as well as eighteen great-grandchildren and many friends & family. Flo spent much of her life as a homemaker but was also a caregiver to many over the years. During the 1970''s Flo was the owner/operator of Owens Ideal Child Care Center in Frayser and dearly loved all of her "babies".

The family asks that if your heart desires please make donations to the Alzheimer''s Foundation or other Alzheimer''s care facilities of your choice and visit nursing home residents in her memory.
