Ferland Cobb Coker, age 88- born to Archie and Cora Cobb in Paden, MS, left this earth Feb.9th. She touched so many people with her unconditonal love. She was a friend and Mother to so many, always guiding through her love of Jesus. A Registered Nurse by profession. She worked as a private duty nurse after coming to Memphis in the forties. She was a nurse for International Harvester until the plant closed. She loved her many friends at her church home of West Frayser Baptist Church. She was the oldest of 10 children and loved her brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Coker and the mother of four children. Billy Coker (Georgenia), Dennis Coker, Jeffrey Coker and Sarah Langston (Mark). She has lived with her daughter in Hernando MS for the last four years. She was more than a grandmother to her 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren leaving behind her goodness and kindness to go with them throughout their lives. Her love of the Lord showed through to all the many people she helped. Visitation will be held Tuesday 4-7pm with Memorial services at 1:00 Wednesday. Both at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington, TN. followed with burial at Memphis Memory Gardens.
