Ernie "Ray" McCommon 68 a retired Captain of the Memphis, TN Police Department died Wednesday June 11, 2008. He was preceded in death by his son Gary McCommon, his parents Rock and Sarah McCommon, two brothers JB McCommon Jr and Norris McCommon. He is survived by five children, Rita and husband Michael Simmons, Regina Lynn, Sarah and Aaron McCommon and Rene Jones. Three Sisters; Paulette Welch, Helen Mauldin and Charlene Bowman, two brother''s Eton and Marshall McCommon. He was a member of the Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Southaven, MS and the Fraternal Order of Police. Service were held 2:00pm Saturday June 14, 2008 at the Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home with burial in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery in Millington, TN.
