Eldalene Stargel, 86, passed away peacefully in her home early in the morning on May 27, 2014 surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was born on June 18 1927 in Cleveland OH but lived most of her life in the Millington/ Memphis area; the last posting for her husband who served in the navy during WWII. Eldalene was a member at First Baptist Church of Millington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Iven Stargel in 2002. She is survived by her loving daughter and caretaker, Sharlene Stargel Andersen (Rick) of Germantown and Daryl Stargel (Lori) of Largo FL; five grandchildren - Rachel and Renae Andersen: Sarah Stargel Heaner (Will), Allison and Andrew Stargel and one great- grandchild (Elise Heaner). Eldalene staged a brave fight against Alzheimer''s disease and in lieu of flowers, donations to any organization providing research and/or assistance to those afflicted by this terrible disease would be appreciated by the family. A visitation with family and memorial service will be held on Saturday May 31, 2014 at Northridge/Woodhaven funeral home in Millington with visitation starting at 10 a.m., services at 11 a.m. and interment to follow.
