Edgar Bert McDaniel, Sr., 80, of Picayune, MS passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017. Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by his son, Edgar Bert McDaniel, Jr.("Peewee"). He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Fletcher McDaniel; sister, Mary Wright; daughters: Brenda Sue Brewer, Patsy Kay Cambell, and Mary Jane Cardenas; sons, Remco Paul and Marcel Leidelmeyer; grandchildren: Anthony Meadows, Randall Brewer, Nicole Leidelmeyer Hayes, Angle Jones Hill, Amanda Cardenas, Christian Cardenas, Jeremy Beech, Shawn Amore, and Stacey Travis; and great-grandchildren: Lailah Hayes, Trenton Young, Kira Brewer, Kaleb Travis, Austin Travis, Evan Amore, and Reagan Amore. Mr. McDaniel is a retired fire fighter with the Memphis Fire Department. He also served our country in the US Coast Guard Reserves. He directed a youth boys home for several years as well. A visitation will be held Monday, July 31, 2017 from 1-2 pm with a graveside service to follow at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery in Millington.
