Born Easter Pauline Cooley on March 27, 1923 in Wayne County, Mississippi.  She attended Walnut High School but left in 1944 because of WWII.  She moved to Memphis, TN to assist in the homeland war efforts.  She went to work for Binswanger Henkin making binocular lenses and bomb sites.  She also worked for Firestone making landing rafts for the Normandy Invasion.  She met Herbert Daniel and they married on February 2, 1946.  They had 3 children; Martha, Bill and Paula.  She was a stay at home mom until 1961 when she started working as a crossing guard at Denver Elementary School.  She lost her beloved husband in 1974.  She got her GED in her 60's and scored well enough to attend college.  In 1978 she took square dancing lessons with Eddie and Sally Ramsey, partnering with their 14 year old son Jamie.  She continued dancing until her 90's.  She is a Charter member of the Bachelors and Bachelorettes.  She also danced with the Memphis Solo Club.   She was the oldest living Member of the Greater Memphis Square and Round Dance Association.  She was a 2 time cancer survivor. She was recently recognized by the Shelby County Sheriff for her contributions to the war effort.

She leaves her children, 6 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

There will be a gathering of family and friends Monday January 29, 2024 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home, 6755 HWY 51 N Millington, TN 38053. A Celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 PM.  Interment will be held at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
