Doris M. Simmons, 87 died Friday, October 12, 2012 at her Millington residence. When younger, Mrs. Simmons loved camping and fishing, but she spent her lifetime enjoying cooking and homemaking. She also loved teaching third grade Sunday School for both the Alameda Church of the Nazarene, Alameda, CA; and for Millington Church of the Nazarene. She also attended Faith Assembly of God Church in Kerrville, TN. Mrs. Simmons is survived by her husband of 52 years, James E. Simmons; and her three children, Mark (Melodee) Simmons of Houston, TX; Douglas (Debbie) Simmons of Azle, TX; and Nancy Nyleen of Millington; 6 grandsons; and 7 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. A private interment will be held at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
