DORA ANN TODD DAVIS, 82, made a graceful transition to be with The Lord and her beloved husband on Monday, December 16, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edd L. Davis, Sr., her son, Edd L. Davis, Jr. and her granddaughter, Brittney Davis. Dora is survived by her two daughters, Judy Davis Holland (Dwight), Donna Girard (Richard), and her daughter-in-law, Brenda Ervin Davis and her four granddaughters, Cammy Griffith, Vanice Page, Vallorie Higgins and Heather Holland. She was a loving mother and grandmother, she was blessed with five great-grandchildren. Dora was a devoted member of Faith Heritage Baptist Church, where she served for many years as "The Kitchen Lady." Dora blessed many kitchens starting with the cafeteria at Lucy Elementary school and for many years fed a host of customers at what was once Donna''s Grocery on Hwy 51. Dora was always good at filling people''s stomachs while she filled their hearts. The family will receive family and friends at 5 p.m., December 18 at Northridge Woodhaven funeral Home for visitation, with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 19. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
