DONNA P. "Granny" ESCUE, 84, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born on September 26, 1924 in Locke, TN to Charlie and Mary Peel and was the 7th of 9 children. In addition to being a homemaker, she provided in-home daycare for several years and was an active member of Mt. Vernon Methodist Church for over 60 years. She was lovingly called "Granny" by her own grandkids, her daycare kids, her church family, and others she met. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Curtis Escue; three sisters, Martha Sigler, Mary Grosjean, and Ruth Beatty; one brother, Billy Peel; and her great-grandson, Connor Escue. She leaves a daughter, Marty True (Tim) of Bartlett, TN; four sons, Ron Escue (Doris) of Southaven, MS, Jim (Sara) Escue of Millington, TN, Rick Escue of Millington, TN, and Greg (Cathy) Escue of Bartlett; three brothers, Charles and Louis Peel of Memphis, TN, Earl Peel of Salt Lake City, UT; and a sister, Inez Armour, of Royse City, TX; eight grandchildren (Sean Escue, Billy Escue, Michael Myers, Mike Escue, Brandon True, Rachel Escue, Alex True, and Justin Escue); and nine great-grandchildren (Caleb, Kimmie, Noah, Maggie, and David of Millington, TN; Levi, Londyn, and Laney of Hernando, MS; and Sheen of Camden, TN). Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Saturday, August 22nd at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, August 23rd at Mt.
