Don H. Taylor, 67, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis with Jane, his loving wife of 47 years, by his side. He was born in Elba, Alabama, on August 3, 1945, to Grover & Mary Taylor. Don attended Auburn University and graduated from the University of South Alabama, in Mobile. He retired from International Paper in 2006. He worked his entire life to realize his dream of owning horses, camping and spending time with family and friends. Surviving is his wife, Jane Roebuck Taylor; his two sons, Shepard Scott Taylor (Holly), and Christopher Hugh Taylor (Tracy); and five grandchildren, Tyler Banks Woodall; Wesley Scott Taylor; Ryan Christopher Taylor; Kendall Mason Taylor; and Cassidy Britt Taylor; a brother, Grover Cleveland Taylor Jr. (Sandy); and a sister, Rosemary Taylor White (John). The family will receive friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Funeral services begin Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, Tennessee 38104.
