Don Raymond Jenkins, 83, passed away March 9, 2017. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. Funeral Services will follow. Interment will be in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
Mr. Jenkins attended college in Bowling Green, OH, and was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. After college he spent time in the US Marine Corp, and started out as an Aviation Electronic Technician, and left as a drill sergeant. After leaving the Marines he started his career at International Harvester, and retired before retiring from his second career at University of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Theodore and Yvonne Jenkins, and his brother Ben Jenkins.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Mrs. Lela Jenkins, daughter, Beth Watkins (Butch), son; Don Matthew Jenkins, granddaughters; Heather Miller (Jeremy), and Holly Watkins, grandson; Jason Jenkins, great grandchildren; Elijah Miller and Izzabella Miller, and Jordan Jenkins, brothers; Jack Jenkins (Woodene), Ted Jenkins, and sister; Janice Jenkins.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations go to Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude, United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, and charity of donor''s choice.
