Dewitt Perry "Poppi"Harris, 80, died Monday, March 2, 2015 at his Millington home. "Poppi" was a retired Petty Officer United States Navy and also retired from the Commissary where he worked in Receiving. He was a Mason who enjoyed bowling; watching car racing; and was a Memphis Tigers fan. His survivors include his wife, Mary Perales Harris of Millington; children, Felicia Marie (Nicholas) Francis of Arlington; Karen Ann (David) Lively: Chris (Laura) Wood; Dawn (Sam) Woods all of Munford; Pam (Rick)Rider of Bartlett; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a nephew, Ward Harris of Fayetteville, AR. The family will receive friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Friday, March 6, 2015, from 5:00 - 7:00. Funeral Services will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1:00. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
