Deborah Gail Phelps, 47, died Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Tipton. A homemaker, she enjoyed counted cross stitching and especially helping others. She was an active Munford Band supporter, mentoring many band members and running the concession stand. She was a member of East Acres Baptist Church and participated in the Tuesday Bible Study. Her survivors include her husband, Joseph E. Phelps Jr. of Drummonds, TN; a daughter, Mary Jane Phelps of Drummonds; a son, Jacob Ervin Phelps of Drummonds; brothers, Michael Wayne York of Memphis; Rusty York of Drummonds; and Leonard Calvin York of Southaven, MS; a sister, Trisha Jane Hubbard, Long Beach , MS. She is preceded in death by her parents David Lee York and Barbara Ann Russell Walker; and her grandmother, Julia Mae Waddlington. Funeral Services will be at East Acres Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 12:00. Interment is private. The family requests that memorials be sent to East Acres Baptist Church Building Fund.
