D. C. "Papa" Melton, 79, went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2018. Mr. Melton was an ordained minister having been retired from United Steel and attended 2nd Baptist Church, Selmer, TN. His parents, Luther and Lily Melton, brought him into this world December 16, 1938 in Henderson, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers. D.C. leaves his wife, Glenda Daniel Melton, after 58 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Kelley Melton Harris, son Daniel Scott Melton, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Wednesday August 8, 2018 with Funeral to follow at 12p.m. and Committal to follow. All services will be held at Northridge- Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery 6755 Hwy. 51 N., Millington, TN 38053.
