Daniel Joseph Bures, 73, passed away on September 27, 2022, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph Charles Bures and Peggy Bohon Bures; his brother, Michael Bures and his wife Janet; his sister, Jenny Bures Grubbs and her husband, Barry, also many nieces and nephews.

Dan was born on June 5, 1949 in Seattle, WA. During the course of his life, Dan lived in Washington, Alaska, California, Hawaii, Vermont, and Tennessee. He graduated from Millington Central High in 1967, and enlisted in the United States Navy shortly after. He served from 1967-1971, to include a tour on the USS Ranger (CV/CVA-61) a Forrestal-Class Super carrier, during the Vietnam War. Upon discharge, he was an Avionics Technician, Second Class (AT2).

Dan's many hobbies included fishing, kayaking, cooking, photography, travel and metal detecting. He loved music and was and avid follower of several local artist. He also had a great love for animals, and they loved him.

In addition to his family, Dan leaves many special friends he met along the way.
