Charlotte Ann Montgomery-Johnston, born on February 8, 1939, in Little Rock, Arkansas, has peacefully transitioned to be with our Lord on April 3, 2026. She is survived by her devoted husband ,Dennis Johnston Sr. Along with her sons: Rex Johnston(Stacia), of Lago Vista, TX, and Dennis (Bert)Johnston Jr.(Michelle) of Florence AL. Her legacy also includes her daughters: Tami Johnston Webb of Memphis TN ,Rebecca(Becky)Thomas-Sharpe(Jim) of Collierville TN, and Kimberly(Kim) Johnston-Rudd (Glen) of Camden, AR. Furthermore, she is survived by 14 grandchildren,12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great -great grandchildren.
Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her sons: Robbie Taylor, Rick Harper, and Steve Harper. A graduate of Frayer High School and Humes High School, she maintained lasting friendships with many of her classmate throughout her life. Her professional career included significant contributions to the Memphis Labor Council during the sanitation strike that followed the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. She also held positions at Cleo Wrap and Sealy Mattress Company and dedicated over 20years of service to the Boy Scouts.
As a faithful member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Charlotte cherished her relationship with the lord. She had a profound passion for cooking, baking, and spending time with family, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
